RydaThaSurgeon (Deshawn Pryor) is an independent Hip Hop artist and songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts, raised in the Mattapan neighborhood. He began putting out music consistently in the early 2000s building a grassroots following by combining raw storytelling and Love music. He operates under his own independent label imprint, AlwaysThinkingMusicEnt.
His catalog starts way before his digital footprint does. From earlier projects like “Back 2 Da Basics,” “617 Style,” and “Underground King,” to his day of pressing up blank CDs and writing his name on them in Sharpie to hand out across the surrounding neighborhoods, he's always been willing to put his head down and just put in the work.
Highlights
